# Using Slash Commands

New to Discord bots? Here's how commands work.

## What are slash commands?

Solmate uses Discord's built-in **slash commands**. This means you type `/` followed by the command name to interact with the bot.

## How to use them

### Step 1: Type `/`

Start by typing a forward slash (`/`) in any text channel. A menu will appear showing all available commands from bots in the server.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-slash-menu.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>The slash command menu appears when you type /</p></figcaption></figure>

### Step 2: Find the command

You can scroll through the list or start typing the command name to filter results. Look for commands with the Solmate icon.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-slash-typing.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Type the command name to filter</p></figcaption></figure>

### Step 3: Fill in the options

Some commands have **required** and **optional** arguments. Required arguments are marked and must be filled in before you can run the command. Optional arguments can be left blank.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-slash-options.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Fill in the command options</p></figcaption></figure>

### Step 4: Press Enter

Hit **Enter** to run the command. The bot will respond in the same channel.

## Tips

* You can use **Tab** to move between arguments
* Type the command name after `/` to quickly find it (e.g., `/tracker`)
* Some commands have **subcommands** — for example, `/tracker add`, `/tracker list`, `/tracker remove`
* If you don't see Solmate's commands, make sure the bot has permission to use slash commands in that channel

# Wallet Tracker

Track Solana wallets in real-time and get notifications for every transaction.

The wallet tracker is Solmate's most powerful feature. Track any Solana wallet and get instant Discord notifications for swaps, transfers, token creation, burns, limit orders, and more.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-tracker-notification.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>A swap notification from the wallet tracker</p></figcaption></figure>

## Adding a Tracker

### Via Discord

1. Type `/tracker add` in any channel
2. Enter the **wallet address** (or a `.sol` domain)
3. Select the **channel** where notifications should be sent
4. Optionally add a **nametag** (a friendly name for the wallet)
5. Optionally add **labels** (comma-separated tags to organize wallets)
6. Press Enter

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-tracker-add-command.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Adding a wallet tracker with /tracker add</p></figcaption></figure>

### Via Web Dashboard

You can also add trackers from the dashboard — including bulk adding multiple wallets at once. See [Managing Trackers](/web-dashboard/managing-trackers).

{% hint style="info" %}
**Activation time:** New trackers may take up to 10 minutes to start receiving transactions.
{% endhint %}

## What Gets Tracked

Each notification includes details about the transaction, along with quick-action buttons to view it on explorers and trading tools.

| Transaction Type   | Description                                   |
| ------------------ | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Swaps** | Token buys and sells (Jupiter, Raydium, etc.) |
| **Transfers** | SOL and token transfers between wallets |
| **Token Creation** | When the wallet creates a new token |
| **Burns** | When tokens are burned |
| **Limit Orders** | Creation, execution, and cancellation |
| **Fee Claims**     | Pump.fun fee claims                           |

### Remove a tracker

* **Discord:** `/tracker remove` and enter the wallet address
* **Dashboard:** Click the delete button next to the tracker, or select multiple and bulk delete

## Minimum Transaction Value

Filter out spam and dust transactions by setting a minimum USD value. Only transactions above this amount will trigger notifications.

Set this on the dashboard under **Settings** > **Wallet Tracker Settings** > **Minimum USD Value**.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-tracker-min-value.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Setting a minimum transaction value</p></figcaption></figure>

# Holder Verification

Verify your members' wallets and assign roles based on NFT and token holdings.

With holder verification, your community members can connect their Solana (or BNB) wallet and automatically receive Discord roles based on what they hold.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-verification-panel.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>A verification panel in Discord</p></figcaption></figure>

## Creating a Verification Panel

A verification panel is an embed message with a "Verify" button that members click to start the verification process.

1. Type `/verification create` in the channel where you want the panel
2. Optionally customize the embed:
   * **title** — panel title
   * **description** — custom message
   * **color** — hex color code (e.g., `#FF5733`)
   * **footer\_text** — text at the bottom
   * **footer\_url** — link in footer
   * **thumbnail** — small image
   * **image** — large image
3. Press Enter — your panel is created

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-verification-create.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Creating a verification panel with custom options</p></figcaption></figure>

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-verification-result.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>The resulting verification panel with a Verify button</p></figcaption></figure>

## Adding Holder Roles

Once your panel is created, you need to set up **actions** — rules that assign roles based on holdings.

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="NFT Collections" %}

1. Type `/verification actions addcollection`
2. Select the **role** to assign
3. Enter the **collection** name or symbol
4. Optionally set:
   * **amount** — minimum number of NFTs required
   * **traitname** and **traitvalue** — require a specific trait (e.g., "Background" = "Gold")
5. Press Enter

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-verification-add-collection.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Adding a collection-based holder role</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Finding the collection symbol:** On Magic Eden, the symbol is in the URL. For example: `https://magiceden.io/marketplace/iconic_ape_club` — the symbol is `iconic_ape_club`.
{% endhint %}
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Tokens" %}

1. Type `/verification actions addtoken`
2. Select the **role** to assign
3. Enter the **token** name or contract address
4. Optionally set the **amount** — minimum tokens required
5. Press Enter

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-verification-add-token.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Adding a token-based holder role</p></figcaption></figure>
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## Managing Roles

### List all actions

* **Discord:** `/verification actions list` — shows all configured roles and their requirements
* **Dashboard:** Go to [solmatebot.com/manage](https://solmatebot.com/manage) > select your server > **Verification** tab

### Remove an action

* **Discord:** `/verification actions remove` — select the role of the action to remove. If the role is tied to a specific collection, enter the collection name too.
* **Dashboard:** Click the delete button next to the role on the **Verification** tab

### Remove a user's verification

`/verification removeuser` — manually unverify a specific user

### Export verified users

`/verification exportuser` — export a user's verification data as JSON (Discord ID, wallets, holdings)

## Re-verification

Solmate periodically re-checks holdings to ensure members still qualify for their roles. If a member sells their NFTs or tokens, their roles will be automatically removed.

You can also manually trigger a re-check from the dashboard:

* **Refresh one user:** Verification tab > Refresh User
* **Refresh all users:** Verification tab > Refresh All

## Verification Limits

| Plan      | Verification Roles |
| --------- | ------------------ |
| Free      | 2                  |
| Plus      | 20                 |
| Pro       | 20                 |
| Community | 30                 |

{% hint style="info" %}
Both Solana and BNB Chain verification are supported. You can configure chain-specific roles on the web dashboard.
{% endhint %}

# Server Stats (Counters)

Display live Solana data in voice channels — prices, floors, volumes, and more.

Counters are voice channels that automatically update with live data. Use them to display the SOL price, collection floors, token prices, wallet balances, and more.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-stats-example.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Voice channel counters showing live data</p></figcaption></figure>

## Creating a Counter

1. Type `/stats add`
2. Select the **counter type** from the list
3. Fill in the required options (see table below)
4. Optionally select a **category** to place the channel under
5. Press Enter

The voice channel will be created automatically and update within \~10 seconds.

{% hint style="info" %}
**Tip:** You can change the channel type from voice to text if you prefer.
{% endhint %}

## Customizing the Channel Name

You can add a prefix to the counter's channel name. For example, if the channel shows `◎8.79`, you can rename it to `FP: ◎8.79` or `Floor: ◎8.79`.

{% hint style="warning" %}
The prefix must come **before** the data symbol (◎, $, or arrows). Text added after the data will be removed on the next update.
{% endhint %}

## Managing Counters

### List counters

# PNL Tracking & Leaderboard

Track profit and loss for your watched wallets over 7 and 30 days.

Solmate tracks the realized profit and loss (PNL) for all your tracked wallets, giving you insight into which wallets are performing best.

## Viewing Wallet PNL

When you look up a wallet with `/address`, the response includes the **7-day PNL** alongside the wallet balance and holdings.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-pnl-address.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Wallet info showing 7-day PNL</p></figcaption></figure>

## PNL Leaderboard

Compare the performance of all your tracked wallets with the leaderboard command.

1. Type `/tracker leaderboard`
2. Select the **type**: 7-day PNL or 30-day PNL
3. Select the **sort order**:
   * Highest % first
   * Lowest % first
   * Highest $ first
   * Lowest $ first
4. Press Enter

The leaderboard shows your top 10 tracked wallets ranked by performance.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-pnl-leaderboard.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>PNL leaderboard showing top performing wallets</p></figcaption></figure>

## PNL Voice Counters

You can display a wallet's PNL as a live voice channel counter:

* **Wallet PNL (7 day)** — shows the 7-day PNL of a wallet
* **Wallet PNL (30 day)** — shows the 30-day PNL of a wallet

See [Server Stats](/discord-bot-features/server-stats) for how to set up counters.

# Nametags & Labels

Organize your tracked wallets with custom names and tags.

When tracking multiple wallets, it helps to give them human-readable names and organize them into groups. Solmate offers two features for this: **nametags** and **labels**.

## Nametags

A nametag is a custom name you assign to a wallet address. Instead of seeing a long address like `7xKX...9pR4` in notifications, you'll see the nametag (e.g., "Team Wallet" or "Treasury").

### Adding nametags

**When adding a tracker:** Use the `nametag` option in `/tracker add` to set a name right away.

**On the dashboard:**

1. Go to [solmatebot.com/manage](https://solmatebot.com/manage) > select your server
2. Click the **Trackers** tab
3. Switch to the **Name Tags** sub-tab
4. Click **Add** and enter the wallet address and name

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-nametags-dashboard.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Managing nametags on the dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

### Editing and removing nametags

On the dashboard, you can edit or delete nametags at any time from the Name Tags sub-tab.

### Where nametags appear

* Wallet tracker notifications
* Tracker list
* Address lookups
* PNL leaderboards

## Labels

Labels are tags you can attach to tracked wallets for grouping and organization. For example, you might label wallets as "Team", "Influencer", or "Whale".

### Adding labels

**When adding a tracker:** Use the `labels` option in `/tracker add`. You can enter multiple labels separated by commas (e.g., `whale, influencer`).

**On the dashboard:**

1. Go to [solmatebot.com/manage](https://solmatebot.com/manage) > select your server
2. Click the **Trackers** tab
3. Switch to the **Labels** sub-tab
4. Create a new label and assign wallet addresses to it

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-labels-dashboard.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Managing labels on the dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

### Managing labels

On the dashboard, you can:

* Create new labels
* Edit label names
* Add or remove wallets from labels
* Delete labels entirely

# Bot Settings

Customize Solmate's behavior in your server.

Solmate has several server-wide settings you can configure via Discord commands or the web dashboard.

## Bot Nickname (Price Ticker)

Make Solmate's Discord nickname display the live Solana price. The nickname updates automatically and shows the current price with a trend indicator.

**Format:** `$XX.XX ▲X.X%` or `$XX.XX ▼X.X%`

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-nickname-price.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Bot nickname showing live SOL price</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
Solmate needs the **Change Nickname** permission for this to work.
{% endhint %}

## Ticker Roles

Ticker roles automatically change color based on whether the Solana price is going up or down over the last 24 hours:

* **ticker\_green** — assigned when price is up
* **ticker\_red** — assigned when price is down

These roles are created automatically. You can use them to make the bot's name appear green or red in the member list and chat.

{% hint style="info" %}
Solmate needs the **Manage Roles** permission, and the ticker roles must be **below** Solmate's role in the role hierarchy.
{% endhint %}

## Explorer Selection

Choose which blockchain explorer is used in links throughout Solmate's responses:

* **Solscan** (default)
* **Solana FM**
* **Solana Explorer**

## Token Viewer Selection

Choose which token viewer is linked in token-related notifications:

* **Axiom** (default)
* Birdeye, DexScreener, Photon, GMGN, and more

## Configuring Settings

Most settings can be managed from the web dashboard:

1. Go to [solmatebot.com/manage](https://solmatebot.com/manage)
2. Select your server
3. Click the **Settings** tab

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-settings-page.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>The Settings page on the dashboard</p></figcaption></figure>

# How to Verify Your Wallet

Step-by-step guide for community members to verify their wallet and get holder roles.

If a Discord server uses Solmate for holder verification, you'll need to connect and verify your wallet to receive roles based on your NFT or token holdings.

## Step 1: Click the Verify button

Find the verification panel in the Discord server (usually in a dedicated channel) and click the **Verify** button.

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-member-verify-panel.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Click the Verify button on the panel</p></figcaption></figure>

You'll be redirected to the Solmate website to complete verification.

## Step 2: Add your wallet

If this is your first time, you'll be on the wallet verification page. You have two ways to verify:

{% tabs %}
{% tab title="Option 1: Sign a Message (Recommended)" %}

1. Click **Connect Wallet**
2. Select your wallet provider (Phantom, Solflare, MetaMask, Trust Wallet, Coinbase Wallet, and 300+ more)
3. Approve the connection in your wallet
4. Click **Verify** — you'll be asked to sign a message
5. Approve the signature in your wallet

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-member-sign-message.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Signing a verification message — this costs nothing</p></figcaption></figure>

{% hint style="info" %}
**This is free and safe.** Signing a message does NOT trigger a blockchain transaction, does NOT cost any gas, and does NOT give anyone access to your funds.
{% endhint %}
{% endtab %}

{% tab title="Option 2: Send a Transaction" %}
If you can't connect your wallet directly (e.g., you're using a hardware wallet):

1. Send a small amount of SOL (or BNB) to the address shown on the verification page
2. Copy the transaction ID/signature
3. Paste it into the input field
4. Click **Submit**

Your wallet is verified once the transaction is confirmed.
{% endtab %}
{% endtabs %}

## Step 3: Get your roles

Once verified, the bot will automatically check your holdings and assign the appropriate roles. This happens within a few seconds.

If the server has roles for:

* **NFT Collections** — you get the role if you hold an NFT from that collection
* **Tokens** — you get the role if you hold the required amount of a token
* **Traits** — you get the role if you hold an NFT with a specific trait (e.g., "Background: Gold")

## Managing Your Wallets

You can manage all your connected wallets at [solmatebot.com/account](https://solmatebot.com/account):

* View all connected wallets
* Verify wallets you haven't verified yet
* Remove wallets you no longer want connected
* Add additional wallets (both Solana and EVM)

<figure><img src="https://solmatebot.com/docs/placeholder-member-account-page.png" alt=""><figcaption><p>Your account page with connected wallets</p></figcaption></figure>

## Supported Wallets

Solmate supports 300+ wallets through WalletConnect, including:

* **Phantom**
* **Solflare**
* **MetaMask** (for BNB/EVM)
* **Trust Wallet**
* **Coinbase Wallet**
* And many more

## Chain Support

Depending on the server's configuration, you may be able to verify with:

* **Solana** wallets (SOL, SPL tokens, NFTs)
* **BNB/EVM** wallets (BNB, ERC-20, BEP-20 tokens)

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Stay safe:** The verification page will only be on `solmatebot.com` or `spruijtstudios.com`. If you're redirected to any other domain, it's a scam. Do NOT connect your wallet and contact Solmate staff immediately.
{% endhint %}

## Re-verification

Solmate periodically re-checks your holdings. If you sell your NFTs or tokens, the associated roles may be removed automatically. If you acquire new holdings, verify again or wait for the next automatic check.

## FAQ

**Q: Will verifying cost me anything?**\
A: No. Signing a message is completely free and doesn't interact with the blockchain.

**Q: Can the bot access my funds?**\
A: No. The verification only proves you own the wallet. Solmate never has access to your private keys or funds.

**Q: I verified but didn't get my role?**\
A: Make sure you hold the required NFT/token in the wallet you verified. If the issue persists, contact the server's admins or Solmate support.

**Q: Can I verify multiple wallets?**\
A: Yes. Add and verify multiple wallets at [solmatebot.com/account](https://solmatebot.com/account). Holdings across all verified wallets are combined.

# Privacy and Safety

How Solmate keeps you and your server safe and secure.

## Privacy

{% hint style="danger" %}
**Important:** Solmate will **never** ask for your wallet's private key, seed phrase, or passphrase. If anyone claims to be Solmate staff and asks for these, it is a scam. Contact our staff immediately in the support server.
{% endhint %}
